Cockroach Run — Strategy Guide

How to maximize your score and unlock the Manifesto in the fan-made endless runner inspired by the Cockroach Janta Party ($CJP) movement.

The core loop

Cockroach Run is a three-lane endless runner. You swipe or use arrow keys to switch lanes, jump over ground obstacles and slide under floating ones. Distance and pickups both feed your score — the trick is staying alive long enough for the difficulty curve to pay out.

Movement fundamentals

  • Lane changes: tap early. The cockroach leans into the turn, so late swipes clip corners of obstacles.
  • Jump: reserve for solid ground obstacles. Jumping under a floating hazard = collision.
  • Slide: the safest answer to floating obstacles. Hold slide through clusters.
  • Do not chain jumps: after landing, wait a beat before jumping again — the second obstacle usually needs a slide, not a jump.

Scoring & pickups

  • Yellow pickups add coins and multipliers — grab them whenever the lane is safe.
  • RTI and Swarmer pickups feed the Manifesto unlock meter; prioritize them over raw coins on longer runs.
  • Red hazards cost a life. With 5 lives, one accidental hit is survivable — two in the same second usually is not.

Unlocking the Manifesto

Each run contributes to the Swarm Manifesto. Cards unlock as your cumulative RTI and Swarmer totals cross thresholds — so consistent medium-length runs unlock more than one lucky sprint. Open the Manifesto modal from the main menu to see which cards are next.

Mobile tips

  • Use swipe for lanes and the on-screen ▲ ▼ buttons for jump/slide — mixing inputs is fastest.
  • Enable Reduced Motion in settings if you see frame dips; the collision logic stays identical.
  • Haptics on pickups and hits make audio-less play viable.
